THE DESIGNER
Hello, my name is Tanya Pohlner. I am an Interior Designer in the greater Orange County, CA area. I am a graduate of the prestigious BFA Interior Architectural Design program at California State University, Long Beach. Ever since I was a child I have always had an interest in architecture and interior design. I was born and raised in Guadalajara Jalisco, Mexico. Growing up I began to notice the juxtaposition of old and new buildings. I was always mesmerized with how the city evolved with new architecture yet kept the old and somehow made it all work. Interior spaces have always been my playground. I like to experience the interiors of buildings as if every time I take a step I am somehow transported to a different place. I’ve always found the idea of design extremely intriguing and fascinating. When I was little, I would build houses for my Barbie, and every day the configuration changed, inside and out. Design is a big part of my life. I am constantly analyzing design elements all around me including architecture, lighting, material choices etc. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, architecture tours, and spending time with my boyfriend, friends, and family. I love being able to express my ideas and make new things. I’m constantly inspired by my surroundings and feel that the more I am exposed to, the more I grow as a designer. Our world is changing and I want to be a part of that by contributing with unique, functional, and beautiful spaces.
